Seaton Tramways
One child goes FREE to Seaton Tramway with two full paying adults
Carrentals.co.uk has teamed up with Seaton Tramway for this fantastic offer – one child goes free with two full paying adults.
Seaton Tramway provides a fabulous journey through East Devon's glorious Axe Valley, with the track following the course of the River Axe estuary through two nature reserves. The Tramway provides excellent views of the many species of wading birds and wildlife, and links the coastal resort of Seaton (one of the gateway towns on the Jurassic Coast, which to date is Britain’s only natural World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO) with the ancient town of Colyton three miles inland, known as “Devon’s Most Rebellious Town” for its part in the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685.
 |
The trams are narrow gauge (2'9"), purpose built by the company with designs based on some of the heritage trams that served our towns and cities in the first half of the last century. Open-top double deckers provide panoramic views of the valley, and fully enclosed single deck saloons allow a comfortable ride whatever the weather. |
The impressive Tramway Terminus at Seaton is close to the town centre and the beach, which stretches a mile in length from Seaton Chine to Axmouth Harbour . Some shops observe half day closing on Thursday and Saturday afternoons. The Tramway Terminus is also next to the Tourist Information Centre, which has full details about the town and the Axe Valley area. Tel (01297) 21660. |
